Sam Jinks is an Australian visual artist known for hyper-realistic sculptures he makes out of silicone, resin and fiberglass. Jinks got started in sculpture professionally while working on television commercials making puppets and props out of latex and silicones.

Jinks models his sculptures onto a scaffold of steel and wood only in tone before he pours in silicone. After the formation of his naturalistic depictions of people, he uses actual human hair and finally coloring in the details. Born in 1973, Sam Jinks currently lives and works in Melbourne. His major solo exhibitions include Boutwell Draper Gallery in Sydney, West Space in Melbourne, Seventh Gallery in Melbourne and the Benalla Art Gallery in Victoria.
