After the super success of the sports biopic Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, the film industry seems to be opening up to making films on well-known personalities. With two biopics, one based on Indian pugilist Mary Kom and the other on hockey legend Dhyan Chan already in process, we hear that Ekta Kapoor is all set to make a biopic on the life and times of cricketer Mohammad Azharuddin.

Apparently, Ekta met the now retired cricketer on Monday and bought the rights to make a film based on his life. While currently the film is being scripted, it is learnt that Kunal Deshmukh will be directing it. The name of the actor who'll play the lead role is yet revealed.
