Dear Zindagi had enjoyed a good weekend when it brought in 32.5 crore in just three days. Of course a lot of credit for that goes to Shah Rukh Khan who pulled in the audience despite an offbeat theme and niche treatment.

The film had a limited audience for itself which did get consumed to a good degree over the weekend itself, as apparent in the collections over the weekdays that stayed on to be just decent. The film collected 14.5 crore from Monday to Thursday which is less than 50% of the weekend numbers. Currently standing at 47 crore, the film was once headed for a 50 crore mark but hasn’t quite reached there.

The film is still a successful affair due to the economics involved, though dip towards the later part of the week indicates that it would basically have a two week run.

Moreover, if Kahaani 2 turns out to be ultra impressive, then the impact would be felt by Dear Zindagi in the current week.
