About Humshakals‘ music album, there is not much to say in good light as compositions in whole are too repetitive to be spoken of separately. Watch out for some mediocre entertainment in the form of trash yet street lyrics. That said, Ash King makes a comeback.

Piya Ke Bazaar – Humshakals Music Review

Himesh Reshammiya and Palak Muchchal, alongside Shalmali Kholgade give to us this ready street number. If Bollywood were to have its version of rock weds hip-hop, this number would win hands down. Not for special points on lyrics but the entire composition that uses the classic band-wala music to compliment Himesh’s aptly used voice.

Hum Pagal Nahi Hai – Humshakals Music Review

What seems to be an extension to ‘Piya Ke Bazaar’, this number of course follows the same genre. Except that the lyrics would make you laugh harder and its progressive fusion by intonation. Yet again, Himesh Reshammiya’s voice is a perfect match for the composition!

Just Look Into My Eyes – Humshakals Music Review

It is not remotely similar to Bryan Adams, well, nor does it have to be except that the name might take you there. This is the one for the clubber in you. Don’t even bother for the lyrics, it’s the music that should keep you grooving. Also, there is Ash King’s Indi-pop sensitization to the number and having him back after a while feels rather nice. Neeti Mohan, as usual, doesn’t disappoint.

Khol De Dil Ki Khidki – Humshakals Music Review

Yet another atrocious number. Why is it so essential to have a quantitatively large album with an ever shrinking quality ground? Well, you can fit this only to progressive Bollywood as far as genre is concerned. Nothing even smells of creativity. Mika Singh’s trademark voice however fits in quite well, so does Palak Muchhal’s.

Barbaad Raat – Humshakals Music Review

Shalmali Kholgade and Sanam Puri come together for yet another number to make you go clubbing. Except that the number lacks any such pep to lift up your mood. Techno and trance, however sets the initial beats to the warm up the floor.

Caller Tune – Humshakals Music Review

Niraj Shridhar does not disappoint however, Neeti Mohan did not show any variation that fans know she is capable of, as far as this album is concerned. The number tries too hard to be a Bollywood version of cool and fails miserably. One could put in a lot of effort and may be categorise this into a coyote soundtrack.

The Last Word – Humshakals Music Review

Save yourself the misery of going through all the tracks in this one. May be you will chance upon them at the disc once or twice and that should be enough. Apart from that , expect minor entertainments from the once voiced by Himesh Reshammiya.
