With six releases this week of Hawaa Hawaai, Mastram, Koyelaanchal, Manjunath, Yeh Hai Bakrapur and Khwabb the opening for all the films was poor at the domestic box office. Morning shows did not fare well for any of the films except Hawaa Hawaai which had a better footfall at multiplexes over the others.

The single screen occupancy for Koyelaanchal was decent. However, other films such as Manjunath, Yeh Hai Bakrapur and Khwabb had extremely low responses since the films had not created enough  pre-release buzz. Although compared to last week’s releases Puraani Jeans and Kya Dilli Kya Lahore, the openings for Hawaa Hawaai and Mastram in multiplexes were better. All the films releasing  this week lack the big star quotient and are more on the lines of content based cinema.

Looking at the morning responses, Hawa Hawaai is expected to pick up by late evening and also have a decent weekend collection. Among the other releases, Mastram having received some rave reviews may also find a handful of audience considering its unique story.
