Remakes being the trending topic in Bollywood, many filmmakers are choosing some interesting old films from South and even foreign films in order to present a Hindi version of the same. Joining the bandwagon of such filmmakers is Ajoy Verma who plans to make a comeback after a four year sabbatical with the remake of a popular Iranian film titled Cease Fire.
Director Verma who has bought the rights of the Iranian film, also stated that he has roped in Sharman Joshi and Kajal Aggarwal to play the lead roles while the music will be given Shantanu Moitra and lyrics will be penned by Gulzar. Being one of the highest grossers of the Iranian film industry, Cease Fire is said to be rom-com where a married couple who are on the verge of split over trivial issues, fall in love with each other all over again.
This untitled project is slated to go on floor in September this year.
