Description: Sequel to Jesse James, '38; Fonda reprises his role to become the main character in this 1940 effort. Jesse's dead and Frank has commenced to being Ben Woodson, farmer. Although this movie does a masterful job of selling itself as the incorruptible sequel of the facts, about the truest part is that there was a Frank James and he was acquitted of charges that he was brought to trial over. Jackie Cooper makes a good effort at being the willful, young and gung ho nephew who's antics cause more trouble than good for the most part, but his biggest shortcoming is his jealousy of Eleanor (Gene Teirney), Frank's love interest. The plot and outcome can be predictable, however none of this changes its value as worth watching over and over...
