Haiwaan Box Office Collection (Day-wise Net Earnings in India)

Priyadarshan’s latest release, Haiwaan, has had a disastrous opening at the Indian box office despite featuring big names such as Saif Ali Khan and Akshay Kumar. From the trailer itself, it was quite evident that the film had failed to generate much pre-release buzz, so a massive opening was always going to be a big ask. However, such a poor opening suggests that the content may also have failed to connect with the audience, with moviegoers showing little interest in spending their money on the film. The word of mouth is also below par, which means Haiwaan is unlikely to find many takers after its first weekend. The film is facing tough competition from Hanuman Ansh and Mirzapur, both of which are performing exceptionally well. Hanuman Ansh, in particular, has picked up significant momentum in its fourth week at the ticket windows and has been collecting in double digits since Day 28.

Haiwaan Box Office Collection

Given its poor start, weak word of mouth, and strong competition, Haiwaan is now heading toward becoming one of the biggest disasters for its makers, Akshay Kumar, and director Priyadarshan. Considering the phenomenal performance of Hanuman Ansh and Mirzapur, the makers might have benefited from shifting the film’s release date to a less crowded period and giving it a better chance at the box office. As per the current trend, Haiwaan could struggle to cross even ₹15 crore in its lifetime at the domestic box office.

Haiwaan is a Bollywood crime thriller co-written and directed by Priyadarshan. Produced by KVN Productions and Thespian Films, the film is a remake of Priyadarshan’s own 2016 Malayalam film Oppam. It stars Saif Ali Khan, Akshay Kumar, Boman Irani, Shriya Pilgaonkar, and Saiyami Kher, while Mohanlal makes a cameo appearance. The film was released theatrically on September 11, 2026.
