One could pretty much see this coming. The manner in which critical acclaim was followed by absolutely terrific word of mouth, it was a given that Airlift had established a steady base for itself. From this point on, it was all about continuing with the good run right till the Tuesday holiday of Republic Day, and then consolidate from that point on.

Well, Step One has been successful as the film did quite well on Saturday as well. After 12.35 crore coming in Friday, the film collected 14.60 crore on its second day. With this, the film has now accumulated 26.95 crore already. Sunday is set to be even huger and with this, it would be a cakewalk for the film to come close to the 45 crore mark.

In fact the way the Akshay Kumar film is performing, it is set to be his biggest weekend grosser in the given genre, hence surpassing even Holiday. The collections of other Akshay Kumar films have been as below:

Baby – 36.07 crore

Gabbar Is Back - 40 crore

Holiday – 40.49 crore

The film is finding appreciation across board and is clearly the pick of the audience. After Bajirao Mastani and Dilwale, which released five weeks ago, finally there is a Bollywood film that is managing to find wonderful appreciation as well as Box Office moolah.

Note: All collections as per production and distributor sources
