Akshay Kumar recently joined the league of actors who love to promote their favourite sports. The actor also bought a Kabbadi team and now he has been constantly urging his fans to watch Kabbadi matches.
Talking about his love for fitness and games, Akshay posted on twitter, "I'm a sports enthusiast, be it cricket, martial arts, hockey or kabbadi...that's no secret. I've always promoted fitness and sports." Akshay also believes that though cricket is a religion in India, we need to expand our horizons and look at other games as well. "Cricket is already world famous but I feel it's now time to shift a little focus towards the sports which originated in our own country, Kabaddi!" Later, the actor requested his fans to encourage the sport saying, "So guys it's my request, tune into the World Kabaddi League starting in August 2014 and give it all your support."
Akshay's kabbadi team will be a part of the World Kabbadi League that will be played across the globe starting from August to December.
