With Akshay Kumar’s Baby, there were huge expectations and the film is expected to enjoy a long run at the box office. Well, the film’s Box Office performance hasn’t disappointed much! On one hand when the reviews by the critics have been encouraging, the masses has given a thumbs up to the film. The film received an impressive opening of 9.30 crores on its first day with solid growth in evening and night shows.
Come Day 2, and the film shows a good growth here as well. The response from the audience grew with every passing show, and Baby managed to rake in approx 11 crores on Day 2 i.e. 1st Saturday at the Box Office. The movie now stands at a Domestic total of about 20.30 crores nett so far.
Baby a directorial venture of Neeraj Pandey, who is one of the best story tellers in Bollywood, has drawn a very positive response and is likely to enjoy a spectacular long weekend. The movie will pick up even more today as well as on Monday, thanks to the Republic Day holiday tomorrow. This Republic day weekend release has received a superlative word of mouth and is great start to a non-conventional film with no songs. Distributors estimate a good jump day on day through the long weekend, leading to a strong outing at the Box Office.
