The only release this week, Bewakoofiyaan had a slow start on its opening day. The film starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Sonam Kapoor had low figures on Day 1 and it did not pick up as expected later in the day too.

Bewakoofiyaan collected approx 2.20 crores at the domestic box office on its 1st Friday.

The film received mixed responses from the critics. Moreover, the lack of a sizzling chemistry between the lead pair and also an average music may be the reasons for a low footfall on the opening day. Also last week’s release Queen which is still receiving good responses from the audiences, proved to be a major setback for Bewakoofiyaan.

Since a long weekend is coming up with the festival of Holi, the film may cash in on the holiday spirit and manage to collect a decent moolah over its first weekend.
