Marvel Studios’ Black Panther has been released and it is getting an overwhelming response at the box office.


Black Panther was released with Sidharth Malhotra and Manoj Bajpayee’s Aiyaary at the box office. The former has attracted several eyeballs and it has managed to overshadow Aiyaary. Despite Padmaavat and PadMan too, the film is doing well.


The film has collected 5.60 crores on Friday, 6.65 crores on Saturday, 7.10 crores on Sunday, 3.27 crore on Monday, 2.69 crores on Tuesday, 2.36 crore on Wednesday and 2.33 crores on Thursday. The film has collected a total amount of 30 crores nett.

Former first lady of the US Michelle Obama believes the film Black Panther will be an inspiration to individuals from all backgrounds, and the youth will see superheroes that look like them.


Michelle appreciated and hailed the team of Black Panther, which is among the first films from the house of Marvel Studios that predominantly has a black cast and also shows a number of women of substance who work as the allies of the protagonist T’Challa (Chadwick Boseman).


“Congrats to the entire Black Panther team. Because of you, young people will finally see superheroes that look like them on the big screen. I loved this movie and I know it will inspire people of all backgrounds to dig deep and find the courage to be heroes of their own stories,” she tweeted on Monday.

Black Panther is among the first films by the house of Marvel Studios which predominantly has a black cast and also shows a number of strong women of substance who work as the protagonist T’Challa’s (Boseman) allies.


Set shortly after Captain America: Civil War, Black Panther shows T’Challa returning home to the isolated, technologically-advanced African nation of Wakanda to become king.


Distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, Black Panther also features Lupita Nyong’o, Michael B Jordon, Danai Gurira, Letitia Wright, Angela Bassett, Forest Whittaker and Martin Freeman among others.
