As the release of MSG- Messenger Of God starring saint Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh had drawn a lot of controversy, the film which has now been cleared by Film Certification Appellate Tribunal (FCAT). Due to this decision by FCAT, Censor Board chief Leela Samson resigned from the board. Earlier the film was slated to release this Friday.

When asked about the resignation, the censor board chief did not specify the particular reason but clearly the resignation has been a result of the clearance certificate given to MSG. According to reports, FCAT has cleared the movie for release although a written order is awaited.
