Dedh Ishqiya fared poorly on its opening day at the Box Office. Though it opened with better reviews from critics, it seems the film couldn’t appeal the masses.

With a slow start in the morning shows and a slight pick up in the evening shows, this Madhuri Dixit starrer managed to rake in just 3.75 crores, as per early estimates, at the Domestic Box Office.

Dedh Ishqiya will have to  completely depend on word-of-mouth it seems! Due to the film’s language (Urdu), it has already affected its performance in many circuits, though there are subtitles with most of the prints. The movie, hence, made a better business in North India, i.e. Delhi, East Punjab and UP circuit, while Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Gujarat fared poorly.

Nevertheless, the film has still more chances to pick up today and tomorrow, if the mouth publicity does the magic!
