Whenever there will be even a mere utterance of 'Classic Actors Par Excellence', there will always be a golden mention of the legendary great actor Farooq Sheikh. The sad news is that he is no more amongst us, as he passed away in Dubai due to a heart attack.

Known for his ever-smiling face and ever-helpful nature, the news of his death has indeed come as a blow on the face to Bollywood. Besides working in regular Bollywood potboilers, he also has worked with the iconic names like Satyajit Ray, Muzaffar Ali, Hrishikesh Mukherjee and others. Farooq was always known for his take on acting as he used to simplify the most complicated scenes. Not just that, he was an equally well known name in the theatre circle as well. Plays like 'Tumhari Amrita' etc... stand testimonial to this fact. He also won the 2010's 'National Film Award' for 'Best Supporting Actor' for Lahore. Besides films, he was best known for his impeccable hosting skills in the famous TV show 'Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai'. This year, he was seen in the smash hit film Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (in which he played Ranbir Kapoor's father) and also Club 60.

We, at Bollywood Hungama, offer our heartfelt condolence to his family.
