Gunday, as predicted, has done an impressive business on its opening day i.e. 1st Friday at the Domestic Box Office. Not just multiplexes, but this Arjun Kapoor-Ranveer Singh starrer has also managed to score big in the single screens as well.

Considering its release size, Gunday has exceeded all the expectations on Day 1 and as per early trade estimates, the movie has collected approx 15.5 crores nett at the Box Office.

Gunday did very good in Dehli city followed by Central India and East Punjab. While major cities like Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Kolkata made decent business in Multiplexes, UP, Gujarat, Rajasthan did well in Single screens.

Though the word of mouth publicity and the critics’ response were equally positive and matching each other, the major reason for this surprisingly humongous collections can be the effect of Valentine’s day too, which gave the film a major boost. Hence, it is to be seen whether the film can sustain on Day 2 i.e today or not! Watch this space for more.
