Haider completed a decent week at the domestic box office. The film collected 3 crores on its first Thursday, taking its 1st Week total to 41.36 crores at the domestic box office.

The film has been riding high on a positive word of mouth so far. It has retained almost all its screens for the second week as well and has good chances to add more moolah.

The film in spite of releasing with Bang Bang maintained its standing at the box office. With critical appreciation too by its side, Haider even though was low on pre-release buzz and being a serious, tragedy drama fared extremely well in urban centers.

Crossing the 40 crores mark in the first week is extremely good for the film. Although this Shahid Kapoor film could not cross his biggest and previous first week’s collections of R..Rajkumar which made 47 crores in first week whereas Kaminey had made a first week collection of 42 crores at the domestic box office.
