Hawaizaada starring Ayushmann Khurrana had a disastrous opening at the Box Office in India. The film released on a normal Friday with lower occupancy right from the morning shows and failed to pick up later in the day too. Hawaizaada collected 57 lacs on its first day at the domestic box office.

The film, which was a biopic on Indian scientist Shivkar Bapuji Talpade, received negative reviews from the critics. Also the film was not promoted very well and had created little pre-release buzz in the market. With a not so popular music album too, Hawaizaada does not seem to have much scope other than to rely strongly on word of mouth.

The film has released with two other films and sine Khamoshiyan is holding well and also with Baby still going strong, the film will have to show a good jump on the weekend to make a decent collection.
