In its second week, Imtiaz Ali’s Highway saw a poor growth. After 2nd weekend, the film collected approx 3 crores in the weekdays, taking its total to 27.25 crores at the domestic box office. The film experienced a drop of around 75% since its first week.

While this Randeep Hooda and Alia Bhatt starrer had urban appeal, it received decent responses from the multiplexes in the first week. However, the main downer seems to be the unusual love story, due to which it couldn’t garner much attention from the single screen audiences; unlike the previous releases Gunday and Hasee Toh Phasee which had a hard core romantic base.

The chances of this Alia Bhatt and Randeep Hooda starrer to gross more business to reach a desirable total at the domestic box office are bleak with the new releases of - Queen and Gulaab Gang which have received rave reviews from the critics.
