Hindi Medium China Box Office: The movie has once again witnessed a dip at the China box office after last Friday. This Irrfan Khan starrer has had an impressive run in China so far, breaking quite a few records in its path. Last Friday it seemed that the movie was starting to slow down, but out of nowhere it just went on to double its collections the very next day.
The film had even managed to surpass films like Dangal and Bajrangi Bhaijaan in terms of opening day collections, something most trade pundits had not even predicted.
Hindi Medium China Box Office: Irrfan Khan Starrer Crosses The 200 Crore Mark
With its 2nd week coming to an end, Hindi Medium surprisingly managed to maintain its pace at the box office. On Wednesday, it raked in $0.42 million while the collection slightly dropped the next day, when the film collected $0.39 million. So far, the sattire comedy has earned a total of $31.08 million (205.21 crores) during its run in the Middle Kingdom, crossing the 200 crore mark.
This unprecedented success of Hindi Medium has become an inspiration for Indian filmmakers who wish to focus on making content driven films. It has managed to reach the same level of popularity in China as high budget films like Bajrangi Bhaijaan, while being made on a fraction of the budget.

For us, the key decisions have been to pick stories that have a universal appeal. These are the fruits of those decisions and we are overwhelmed.”
Hindi Medium revolves around a couple who want to give their daughter the best education so that she becomes accepted by the elite. It stars Pakistani actress Saba Qamar and Tanu Weds Manu fame actor Deepak Dobriyal.
