Kill Dil seemed to have a below average start. The film according to early estimates collected 7.25 crores on its first Friday. The film starring Ranveer Singh, Parineeti Chopra, Ali Zafar and Govinda in lead roles, was expected to have a good opening considering the fact that it was coming from the Yashraj banner.

The film, which was expected to perform best in the North circuits, made a low business out there. Only Delhi showed a good response for the film. Mumbai has shown a decent response but lower than expected.

The pre-release buzz for Kill Dil was good, other than the fact that it has received mixed reviews from critics. It may show a jump over the weekend if it enjoys a good positive word of mouth.
