Kochadaiiyaan is assimilating for itself the right hype in the market. The film, that is touted as India’s first motion capture photo realistic 3D film stars, is afterall a regular Rajnikanth masala fare that is expected of him described, the Superstar’s filmmaker daughter Soundarya Rajnikanth to Koimoi.

In an interview with us, Soundarya elucidated the process of executing the film. “The exact look of the actors were created with a process called body scanning. The exact facial expressions of the actors were scanned and maintained. The problem with Kochadaiiyaan was mainly while creating the character of Rana. Because the age of Kochadaiiyaan is in the range of 35 years to 40 years, so I did not have to change too much of my dad’s facial postures. But when I was creating Rana who is 25 years, we had to lift up the facial muscles during the animation process. ”

Soundarya continued saying, “Rajnikanth fans have a lot of things to look out for in this film. The ingredients are all commercial. The fan in me was floored to see Rajnikanth doing the Rudra Tandav.”

So ask her how magnanimous was it to shoot the film and Junior Rajnikanth replied, “On the shooting part it wasn’t much. I took only 5 days from my father and 2 days of Deepika Padukone. That’s it. Though in post-production we were going ballistic, on the shooting front that was all.”

Kochadaiiyaan is the first of its kind film in India and high hopes are pinned on this venture which stars the South Superstar along with actress Deepika Padukone in a film that might be a trendsetter and attitude changer of sorts in a country where animation films is understood to be for kids only.
