Jackie Shroff and Aamir Khan have been contemporaries almost. And yesterday at the trailer launch of Heropanti, Aamir introduced Jackie’s son Tiger Shroff so elatedly.

Definitely, the new generation is taking over and the superstars like Aamir Khan and Salman Khan, who have been reigning for over two decades are now making way for the new generation too. When we asked Aamir about how he feels, the actor who was in a very jovial mood replied, “Tiger is 23. And I am just a year older to him. I am 24.”

Veteran filmmaker Subhash Ghai, who had launched Jackie Shroff in the industry, was also present at the event. It was obviously a very nostalgic moment for him as he reminisced about his first day on sets with Tiger’s father, the Senior Shroff.

While Ghai was counting Salman among the senior actors at a cue, Aamir cut him and said, “Salman is still a youngster.” Clearly for these superstars age is just a number and they are still as involved in their craft as in their early years.

Aamir’s affection for his dear friend Salman too is evident and such sweet statements he keeps dropping about the actor shows the love between them sans the PDA. Definitely Khan underplayed the emotion, but despite being the latter half of the 40s, these superstars have prevailed for their dedication and sincerity which has helped the industry multiply over time.

Younger guns like Tiger must feel inspired by them.
