The romantic drama Lekar Hum Deewana Dil that released this Friday opened with extremely poor numbers. The film on its opening day collected merely 80 lacs at the domestic box office. LHDD even though was promoted well in advance, it could not create the required buzz and failed to charm the audiences.

Starring debutantes Armaan Jain and Deeksha Seth in lead roles, the film could not gather much footfall even for the evening shows after having a poor occupancy in the morning/afternoon shows.

While the multiplexes did not fare well enough, the single screens too had bad performance. Having the lowest screen count among the running movies such as Bobby Jasoos and Ek Villain, the film’s first day business suffered.

Lekar Hum Deewana Dil may pick up over the weekend if it manages to create a good positive word of mouth.
