Mardaani continued to remain steady over its second Friday. The film collected 1.70 crores on its second Friday. With this, the film now stands with a total collection of 24.70 crores at the domestic box office. The Rani Mukerji film was lauded by the audiences for its bold subject and survived strongly on positive word of mouth. Th film has also been made tax free in the circuits of UP and MP which are the mass belts.

The film which received good critics ratings too has a chance to cash in more over the long weekend due to the Ganesh Chaturthi festival. Looking at the poor rating given to this week’s release, Raja Natwarlal, Mardaani has a chance to remain strong at the domestic box office.

Mardaani is performing better than Queen, both films being strong female character based, their business too has been quite similar to each other. Looking at the current pace, Mardaani is expected to make a lifetime business of around 35 crores, which will be extremely good for this film.
