Margarita With A Straw starring Kalki Koechlin received a lot of praises for her performance. The slice of life film was meant for a niche audience and hence the business has not been exceptional. The film maintained a low key business over the first week as it collected 31 lacs on Monday, 31 lacs on Tuesday, 30 lacs on Wednesday and 30 lacs on Thursday. Remaining steady over the week, the film now stands with a total collection of 3.34 crores at the domestic box office.

The film was an emotional drama dealing with the life of a young girl with Cerebral Palsy and the identity crisis that she goes through whilst choosing her sexual orientation.This film has been highly urban-centric and hence it performed best in the cities such as Mumbai, Pune etc.
