Come February 27, actor Sanjay Dutt will be a free man. This news comes after the Maharashtra government remitted his sentence in the Mumbai serial blasts case. Dutt who was incarcerated serving a five year jail sentence for his involvement in the 1993 blasts, after it was upheld by the Supreme Court in March 2013, will be freed next month.
Talking about the same, a source close to the preceding stated that Dutt would effectively be released on completing his 42 month sentence, provided everything goes smoothly. As for the other charges under the TADA, Dutt was acquitted, but was found guilty of possessing illegal arms.
