Sanju Box Office Day 1: Ranbir Kapoor starrer Sanju is out and is spearheaded towards a smashing opening day collections. With its crazy hype over the months, it has clearly stood up to the high expectations. In the film Ranbir plays the role of Bollywood veteran Sanjay Dutt and tells the viewers his rollercoaster life journey in an exceptionally entertaining way.

Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, the film has opened to a smashing opening day collections of 34.75 crores. Looking at the advance bookings this was in a way predictable. The film has hit two birds one stone in terms of breaking records and this is just the beginning of Sanju breaking several records. The film has beaten opening day collections of Salman Khan’s Eid release Race 3. Now it remains to see whether it will move on to break Race 3’s total weekend collections.
