R. Balki’s Shamitabh made quite a good business at the Domestic Box Office. After a 3.50 crores opening day, this Amitabh Bachchan and Dhanush starrer showed a growth on Day 2. On its 1st Saturday, Shamitabh collected 4.30 crores (approx), taking its 2 Days total to 7.80 crores nett at the Box Office in India.

Shamitabh needs a solid growth today, in order to stand at a respectable opening weekend number of 12 crores. It performed the best in urban circuits and multiplexes especially. The movie could have done even better had it performed equally well in single screens and mass circuits.
