Earlier we had reported that Taapsee Pannu is all set to collaborate with her Baby director Neeraj Pandey. And now it is being said that a prequel is on the cards to the 2015 Akshay Kumar starrer Baby and that this time around it will apparently trace the journey of Taapsee as a special agent.
According to recent reports, the film is currently under the scripting stage and we also hear that it was Akshay Kumar's idea to have a female protagonist in this instalment. Readers may be aware that the superstar also gives martial arts and self-defence to several women and he was impressed Taapsee's small yet powerful role in Baby. It has been learnt that the action thriller has been tentatively titled Meera with the actress playing the titular role. However, her character in Baby was named Priya. Taapsee who is excited about working for the film also revealed that she has already started prepping for the same.
On the other hand, speculations are rife that Manoj Bajpayee and Malayalam superstar Prithviraj have been roped in to play pivotal roles. Directed by Shivam Nair, the film will also have Akshay Kumar in a cameo.
