After doing some prominent roles in Bollywood with films like Delhi Belly, Go Goa Gone and the recent Shaadi Ke Side Effects, the stand-up comedian turned actor Vir Das will be seen in a serious avatar in an upcoming film with Soha Ali Khan.
Tentatively titled October 31, the film is said to be inspired by the 1984 Delhi riots where Vir would be reprising the role of a Sikh. Soha Ali Khan also had recently stated that the film is about 24 hours post the assassination of the former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Confirming the same, Vir recently said, "Yes, it's true."
The film is said to be directed by National Award winner Shivaji Patil.
