Despite receiving good ratings from movie critics, director Anurag Kashyap’s Manmarziyan failed to make a big start at the box office. The quirky romantic film had collected Rs 3.52 crore at the Indian box office on its opening day. Because of positive word of mouth, the film witnessed about a 45% jump in the collection on Saturday.
As per the box office reports, the film earned 5.11 crore on Saturday to take its total domestic box office collection to 8.63 crore after 2 days. The current trend suggests that it should cross 15 crore in the opening weekend, however, the box office prospect will depend on weekday’s collection.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the collection of the film on Twitter. “#Manmarziyaan witnesses a healthy 45.17% growth on Day 2, although after a low Day 1, the jump in biz should’ve been higher… North circuits are performing better… Fri 3.52 cr, Sat 5.11 cr. Total: ₹ 8.63 cr. India biz.“, he wrote.
The box office collection of the film is as follows:
Friday (Day 1): ₹ 3.52 cr
Saturday (Day 2): ₹ 5.11 cr
Total: ₹ 8.63 cr
