Description: Video details - 72WmSRRdRgA: Harmesh Malhotra started the movie "Dharam Shatru" in the early 80's with Shatrughan Sinha and Reena Roy in the lead. But his movies like "Raaz", "Poonam", "Mangal Panday" and "Phaansi Ke Baad" either flopped or were not big hits. The result was that the film "Dharam Shatru" was difficult to complete because nobody was prepared to finance the film or to distribute the movie. Then in 1986 Harmesh's film "Nagina" released and the Sridevi-Rishi Kapoor film was a blockbuster hit and Harmesh was back. Two of his long in the making movies ("Dharam Shatru" and the even longer in the making "Khazana") found buyers and distributors and the films were finished and released. By the time this film came out the tastes of the paying public had changed and this movie - which might have been a hit in the early 80's- found no takers. It also was the era of new heroines like Sridevi, Madhuri Dixit, Juhi Chawla et all and Reena Roy had lost out. Not really fair towards this movie because this movie is not worse then the average Hindi movie of those days. Agreed, this film is no "Nagina"but Reena Roy is no Sridevi and Shatrughan Sinha is certainly no Rishi Kapoor. Still hope you will enjoy this movie.
