Singh quit the police force with a view to making his endeavours more effective from the outside. While still in service, Y.P. Singh wrote a novel ‘Carnage by Angels’ which was a bestseller of its times. The intent of this novel was plain – Let people know and understand the profound dynamics of corruption in the police and in the government. Considering an enormous appreciation of this novel, it was considered expedient to adapt this novel into a feature film. Hence, ‘Kya Yahi Sach Hai’ (Is This is the Truth) was made.
