Sumithra hates men and is against marriage. However, she starts to fall in love with Sanjeevi (Kamal) but ia too egotistic to accept it. On the other hand, a young girl, Thilagam (Sobha), who works at their house gets intimate with Sarath Babu and gets pregnant. He denies it but she is supported by Kamal Hassan and Kasi (Hanumanthu) who has feelings for her. After she delivers a child, Sarath Babu repents and is ready to marry her. Will Sumithra ever reveal her love for Kamal Hassan? Will Sobha accept Sarath Babu ?
