This one had the newbies Fatima, Tohan and Ananya Mukherjee whom neither made another movie after this. Dev Anand, Nasseerudin Shah, Sonika Gill, Bharat Kapoor, Sudhir, Anupam Kher, Vikram Gokhale, Kiran Kumar, Dr. Shreeraam Lagoo and Parikshat Sahni were also in the movie alsong with an unv=credited Aftab Shivdesani. The movie is a murder mystery. One of the last Navketan movies which actually had a very good soundtrack. Bappi Lahiri was the music director and the songs were sung by Asha Bhonsle, Amit Kumar, Bappi Lahiri, Anandya Mukherjee and the best song "PYAAR KE LIYE BANI MAIN" was sung by Lata Mangeshkar.
